Math Vocabulary (ongoing post)

This is a website that may be useful for us (courtesy of Rosa):
http://www.mathwords.com/a_to_z.htm

today's class (and no class next week!)

Quick summary:
We did the Harper's Index analysis of statistics (interpretation) individually and in group
Watched a TED presentation about trying new things for 30 days (see bottom of post)
Presentations were given by Jaume (the 4th dimension), Andreu (Darwin's Bot), and Oriol (wave propagation).  Thanks very much for your excellent work.
Brief overview of our textbook--hopefully we'll have bound copies by next class

Next class:
Rosa, Pijou, and Ester (did I miss anyone) will give their presentations
Student Book: p.50, 51 (especially ex.4,5 on p.51)
Workbook: p.35
I will send you a copy of a CAE/FCE before next class.
Please give me feedback on presentation feedback sheets.

Did I forget anything?

Volunteers for teaching/presenting 5-10 minutes this week.

I need some volunteers (3 or 4) to teach a segment (5-10 min.) from one of their classes (or a presentation) for our next class this Wednesday.
I've contacted a couple of you--who will be the first?!
I need a few more brave souls, so please let me know if you can do it.
Thanks
